Raye McDonald, MS, Registered Dietitian Nutritionist
How I Started
My passion for nutrition started when I was a teen and the Dr informed me of my elevated cholesterol levels. Through research and self education I was able to drastically improve my levels with nutrition/ lifestyle changes. In my mid 20’s I was struggling with severe gastrointestinal distress without any relief. I turned to functional medicine where I was able to get to the root cause, implement a treatment plan and get back to living my best life!
Through my own personal experience of healing and my continued education in the field of nutrition and functional medicine, it is my passion to be able to help others get to the root cause of their ailments and back to living a life full of vitality.
I hold a Bachelor’s of Science in Nutrition & Food Science with a concentration in Dietetics from Montclair State University and I completed my dietetic internship with NutraCo. I obtained my Masters in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine from the University of Western States. Over the last 8 years, I have helped those with cardiovascular, gastrointestinal and endocrine disorders. My specialties now include sports nutrition, eating disorders, and gastrointestinal health.
Work With Me
I have a special place in my heart to help the younger generations build a positive relationship with food. Having been an athlete myself, I am passionate about educating and coaching athletes on how to improve their performance and reach their goals. Through my own journey of gastrointestinal healing, I am passionate to help others determine solutions that actually work!
When not in the office you can find me at the gym lifting weights, walking my dog, curled up on the couch with a cozy blanket, cup of coffee and a good murder mystery book, or eating delicious food with my friends and family!
